Governor of Darfur Region Mini Arko Minawi has voiced his support for and endorsement of the Sudanese-Sudanese Dialogue initiative, affirming that opening the door to dialogue represents an important step.

Minawi said he does not reject the Dialogue Preparatory Committee or question the integrity of its members, praising their standing and stature. He called for the current phase to serve as a prelude to dialogue through consultations with political, civil and community forces and agreement on principles and guarantees.

He stressed that the success of the dialogue requires building confidence, promoting regional and international openness, and broadening participation, noting that his observations are intended to ensure the success of the initiative and achieve its objectives.
