The Sudanese Army's Fourth Infantry Division in Al-Damazin announced that forces from the 13th Infantry Brigade had taken control of the Fashfoun area, near Shitawi in the Qaisan sector of the Blue Nile region, following a military operation that it said inflicted losses on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.

The division said its forces are continuing clearance and security operations in the area while pressing ahead with military operations to consolidate newly secured positions and strengthen control over the combat fronts.
