An official statement issued on Wednesday by the Sudanese Against Normalization group strongly condemned the visit of a delegation from the Sumood Coalition—comprising Khalid Al-Silik (Khalid Omar Yousif), Babiker Faisal, and Taha Izhag—to the Israeli-occupied territories, describing the move as a shift from dealing with a regional proxy to direct engagement with the occupying power.
The statement said that since April 2023, Sudan has been subjected to a systematic aggression carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia with regional backing, aimed at dismantling the Sudanese state and its social fabric in service of expansionist projects in the region.
The group accused the Sumood Coalition of playing a political role that serves the agenda of the aggression by adopting narratives that justify targeting the Sudanese state and its institutions, describing the recent visit as a political continuation of that role.
The statement concluded by reaffirming the group's categorical rejection of all forms of normalization with Israel, whether conducted publicly or secretly, stressing that the Sudanese people remain steadfast in their principled position against the occupation in Palestine and the aggression against Sudan.
