Khartoum, (Nabaa Sudan) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lt. Gen. Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, said that countering hate speech and healing the Sudanese national psyche are essential pillars for strengthening social cohesion and protecting the unity of the country.
Speaking at the Emotional Recovery Festival in Omdurman, Jabir explained that wars target not only military and economic aspects but also seek to dismantle communities and tear apart their social fabric, stressing the importance of rejecting hate speech and strengthening national solidarity.
He noted that young people represent the country’s future, expressing confidence in their ability to contribute to nation-building and heal the Sudanese national psyche. He also emphasized the importance of education, culture, and the arts in confronting manifestations of division and strengthening communication among Sudanese people.
Jabir stressed the importance of developing curricula and programs that contribute to upbringing and foster a generation capable of protecting social unity and strengthening cohesion, noting that there are plans to expand community recovery activities to include the localities of Khartoum State.
He praised the entities and initiatives participating in organizing the festival, as well as the “Mahmoud in the Heart” group, commending the role of artists and creatives in uniting emotions and strengthening communication among Sudanese people.
At the conclusion of his address, TSC Member said, “The Sudanese nation will accept nothing less than victory,” praying that Allah would grant Sudan security, stability, and peace.
