The Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority for Development (IGAD) Workneh Gebeyehu received Norway’s Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, André Stiansen, to discuss regional peace and security issues, with a particular focus on developments in Sudan and South Sudan.
Gebeyehu reaffirmed the importance of the partnership between IGAD and Norway in promoting dialogue and supporting sustainable, locally led solutions to the region’s challenges.
