Minister Al-Mansouri Pushes Animal Production Projects to Boost Exports and Self-Sufficiency

Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Professor Ahmed Al-Tijani Al-Mansouri, inspected the Export Development Group’s animal production projects and held an expanded meeting at its premises. He reviewed the group’s 2026 plan, which includes 20 projects aimed at achieving self-sufficiency and boosting dairy and meat exports.

The Minister outlined a future vision through ten key initiatives, including improving goat breeds, expanding fish production, rehabilitating export containers, establishing feed factories, developing rural areas, enhancing leather sources, and integrating livestock into the agricultural cycle. These efforts aim to strengthen partnerships with Northern State, advance animal production, and generate hard currency for the state.

Separately, during his Wednesday visit to Northern State, Al-Mansouri was briefed on the security situation by the Security Committee, chaired by Northern State Wali, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Abdulhamid Ibrahim. The Wali affirmed full coordination within the committee and readiness to address any threats to national and public security.
