The owner of Pilipino Bakery in Seattle, United States, who is of Palestinian–Filipino descent, donated the profits from the bakery’s Christmas holiday discount campaign to the Al-Surourab Volunteer Kitchen.

The kitchen’s supervisor, Mazin Al-Rashid, said in a post on his Facebook account that the donation is sufficient to operate the kitchen for 17 days, providing daily meals to around 350 families, or approximately 2,450 people.

He added that the initiative comes as part of the bakery’s efforts to support the local community and contribute to alleviating the suffering of families in need, reinforcing the values of solidarity and humanitarian support.
