The General Directorate of Passports and Immigration held its periodic meeting under the chairmanship of its Director-General, Major (Police) Abdel-Mahmoud Al-Awad Ali Al-Awad, with the participation of directors of departments and units.

The meeting reviewed the Directorate's overall performance, discussed plans to enhance service delivery, assessed current operational conditions, and examined measures to address existing administrative and technical challenges.

Participants also reviewed performance reports submitted by the Foreigners' Affairs Department, stressing the importance of improving operational efficiency, strengthening oversight mechanisms, and ensuring strict compliance with assigned responsibilities to enhance institutional performance.

The meeting further examined the implementation of electronic passport issuance services at Sudanese diplomatic missions abroad, as well as the obstacles impeding the planned expansion of overseas service coverage. It was agreed to intensify coordination with the relevant authorities to resolve these challenges and expedite the rollout of electronic passport services across the targeted diplomatic missions within the established timeframe.

The Director-General underscored the need to intensify efforts to provide efficient, high-quality passport and immigration services to Sudanese citizens both at home and abroad, with a focus on ensuring timely service delivery and customer satisfaction.

The meeting concluded by issuing a set of directives aimed at accelerating implementation, strengthening coordination among the Directorate's departments, and enhancing performance monitoring. Participants also approved a comprehensive plan to expand electronic passport services to all overseas service centers and passport service complexes across Sudan.
