The Accident and Emergency Section of Sennar Hospital has received a new X-ray machine funded by the World Health Organization (WHO) through the Sudan Health Emergency and Infrastructure Project (SHEIP), as part of efforts to strengthen and develop healthcare services in the state.

Dr. Ibrahim Al-Awad, Director-General of the Sennar Ministry of Health and Social Development, said the new machine provides both conventional and contrast-enhanced X-ray services, commending WHO’s continued support in supplying medical equipment and essential healthcare needs.

WHO Coordinator Mustafa Mohamed Issa said the machine is part of a package of medical equipment approved for Sennar State, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to continued partnership and additional support throughout 2027.
