Minsk, (Nabaa Sudan) – Sudan and Belarus signed the second part of an export financing agreement in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, aimed at strengthening banking cooperation and opening new financing lines between the two countries.
State Minister at the Ministry of Finance Mohammed Nour Abdeldaim announced that the Belarusian Development Bank would provide more than $100 million in financing in the first phase to establish 17 grain storage silos, in addition to establishing an assembly line for Belarusian tractors in Sudan.
The next phase will include projects in food security, agricultural mechanization, transport, and infrastructure rehabilitation, as well as discussions on financing a fleet of public transport buses and railways, increasing Sudanese exports, and attracting Belarusian investments.
