Sudan Condemns and Denounces Attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed Sudan’s full solidarity with the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain and strongly condemned and denounced the attacks that targeted their territories, describing them as a rejected violation of their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

The Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that these attacks constitute a clear breach of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a direct threat to the security and stability of both countries and the wider region. It added that they also undermine regional and international efforts aimed at reducing tensions and preventing further escalation and conflict.

The statement affirmed: “While the Republic of Sudan expresses its support for the sisterly State of Kuwait and the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain in confronting any threat to their security and sovereignty, it rejects all hostile acts targeting civilians, vital facilities, or the stability of states, and calls for respect for state sovereignty, good neighbourliness, and adherence to international law.”

The Ministry reiterated Sudan’s support for all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the region, stressing the legitimate right of both countries to take necessary measures to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter.
