The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said more than 17 million children in Sudan have been vaccinated against measles between January 2024 and April 2026, representing around 98% of the targeted group across 17 states.
In a Facebook post, the agency said it worked alongside national immunization campaigns to protect millions of children from preventable diseases. UNICEF underscored that the large-scale coverage reflects sustained efforts to strengthen public health interventions despite ongoing challenges.
