The Sudan Doctors’ Network revealed that elements of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–Al-Hilu faction carried out an attack on the “Al-Zallataya” mine in the Tabasa administrative unit of Al-Abbasiya Taggali Locality. The assault resulted in the abduction of more than 150 young men and several minors for forced recruitment.
The network described the operation as a violation of international humanitarian law and called for the immediate release of the abductees and an end to all forms of forced recruitment. It also urged humanitarian organizations to be granted access to provide medical and relief assistance and appealed to the international community to intervene urgently to put an end to these violations.
