Sudan Police Mark 71st Anniversary Amid Resilience and Security Gains

Police Forces concluded celebrations marking their 71st anniversary in Port Sudan, attended by Interior Minister Osman Samra; Wali of Red Sea State Mustafa Mohamed Noor; and Director General of Police Forces, General Amir Abdel-Moniem.

Interior Minister Samra condemned the rebel militia’s attack on Al-Mogran Power Transformation Station in Atbara, asserting that such acts will not weaken the resolve of Sudan’s armed and regular forces. He emphasized that Sudan faces external aggression, not just internal rebellion, and hailed the liberation of Wad Madani, Sennar, and other areas as a triumph of the people’s will. He confirmed that police have resumed duties in cleared states and will continue operations until full national liberation is achieved.

General Abdel-Moniem said celebrating amid exceptional circumstances sends a message of resilience, praising Red Sea State residents for hosting displaced citizens and supporting liberated areas.

Wali Mustafa Mohamed Noor commended the major security gains achieved by the state police, noting their crucial role in restoring stability. Meanwhile, Red Sea State Police Director Dafallah Taha highlighted military displays and announced the opening of new passport and national ID service centres to facilitate public transactions.
