Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Saif Al-Nasr Al-Tijani Haroun discussed with Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Dr. Zaid bin Makhlad Al-Harbi ways to expand cooperation between the two countries in the transport and infrastructure sectors, as well as investment opportunities in priority projects.

The meeting addressed the development of ports, maritime transport, and logistics services and their role in enhancing trade flows and supporting economic activity, in addition to attracting Saudi investments and expertise for infrastructure and reconstruction projects.

The Saudi ambassador affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to strengthen communication and coordination with Sudan and open up new areas of cooperation.

The minister, meanwhile, praised Saudi support for Sudan, noting joint plans and programs in the transport and infrastructure sectors for the coming period.
