The Sudanese Islamic Movement announced its support for the initiative led by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to end the crisis in Sudan, describing his move as the stance of a leader assuming his responsibility at a critical moment, and one that reasserts the facts amid the assaults carried out by the rebel militias and the resulting displacement and suffering faced by Sudanese civilians.
The Movement’s Secretary-General, Ali Ahmed Karti, stated in a communiqué that the Crown Prince’s step reflects a clear commitment to safeguarding Sudan and ensuring its stability, and represents a continuation of the Kingdom’s longstanding positions toward the Sudanese people. He affirmed that the Movement remains open to every sincere effort aimed at achieving justice and preserving the dignity of citizens.
The Sudanese Islamic Movement reaffirmed its commitment to stand by the people, defend the country’s sovereignty and unity, and confront any attempts to threaten Sudan’s security or target its resources.
