Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare Mu'tasim Ahmed Saleh said the Dagalo family terrorist militia has abandoned all moral values and traditions, accusing it of targeting children, women, and the elderly.
He made the remarks during a visit to the graves of the 209 victims of the Wad Al-Noura massacre in Al-Gezira State. At the start of his visit, he prayed for the victims, asking Allah to have mercy on them and admit them to Paradise among the prophets, the truthful, and the martyrs.
Mortada Ismail Al-Beeli, representing the Wali of Al-Gezira State, said the martyrs of Wad Al-Noura saved the state from a full-scale invasion.
Meanwhile, Hassan Saber, representative of the Higher Committee for the Displaced of El-Fashir, condemned the massacre, saying: “The blood of the martyrs will never be forgotten or become subject to a statute of limitations. The sacrifices of the martyrs of Zamzam and Wad Al-Noura call for unity, rallying around the nation's core principles, and achieving justice.”
