KHARTOUM (Nabaa Sudan) – The Sudanese Society for Goat Breed Improvement and Development has signed a contract to import 6,000 Saanen goats from Türkiye, financed by Zadna Company. Initial shipments have already arrived as part of efforts to improve goat breeds and boost productivity in the livestock sector.
The society elected Dr. Dafallah Al-Araki as its president, Othman Abu Ali as secretary-general, and Hassan Mohamed Haroun as treasurer. The elections were held at the main hall of the Small Industries and Business Development Authority in Khartoum to select the society’s leadership for the new term.
The society works to improve local goat breeds, promote goat-rearing among Sudanese families, increase milk production, and contribute to achieving self-sufficiency.
