As part of Sudan’s commitment to combating transnational organized crime, General (Intelligence) Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, Director General of the Sudanese General Intelligence Service, attended a conference on the impact of such crime on state security, held Tuesday in Belgrade, Serbia. The event brought together representatives from 43 African countries and was attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
President Vučić expressed gratitude for African participation, underscoring the importance of continental unity and continued coordination between Serbia and African states. He highlighted current global challenges and called for enhanced cooperation to prevent cross-border crime, including human trafficking, arms and drug smuggling, money laundering, extremism, and terrorism.
Sudan’s involvement reflects its policy of collaborating with international partners to strengthen local, regional, and global security and stability through intelligence-sharing and joint strategies against organized crime.
