Commander Mustafa Tambour, Wali of Central Darfur, revealed ongoing coordination efforts with the Control Room to cut off the supply lines of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, which seeks to implement demographic changes and erase the identity of local communities by separating historical local administrations and carrying out housing plans that seized public squares and cleared the Zalingei forest, leading to widespread population displacement.
Tambour confirmed that resolution is near following the formation of a combat battalion in coordination with the Supreme Command for the liberation of the state, noting that large numbers of former militia forces have joined the Sudanese and Joint Army due to the loss of credibility of their leadership.
The Wali of Central Darfur also highlighted the strategic and economic importance of the state, announcing development plans that include the establishment of Al-Shaheed (Martyr) Ali Dinar Airport, enabling students to sit for the Sudanese Certificate examinations, facilitating the dispatch of pilgrims for Hajj, and investing in agriculture, livestock, and tourism.
