TSC Member Jabir Vows Firm Action on Refugees and Security in Khartoum

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, reaffirmed the authorities’ commitment to deporting unregulated foreigners and refugees from Khartoum State to their home countries or designated camps. He urged citizens not to employ or house individuals without official residency permits.

Speaking at a meeting of the Committee for Security Control and Enforcing State Authority, attended by TSC Member Nuwara Abu Mohamed, ministers, and senior military officials, Jabir called for accelerated preparation of refugee camps and stricter monitoring of entry points to prevent new arrivals. He praised the committee’s role in restoring security and stressed that the state would act decisively against violations, including illegal possession of weapons, while activating the Moral Guidance Administration to raise awareness among military personnel.

Jabir dismissed claims that the removal of informal settlements served political or regional interests, framing the measures as strictly regulatory and security-oriented. Defence Minister Hassan Daoud Kabron highlighted the committee’s achievements from November 27 to December 27, including clearing combatants, removing informal settlements, deporting foreigners, clearing war remnants, and securing key areas to enable citizens’ safe return home.
