President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, praised the people of Al-Eilafoun for their support to the Sudanese Armed Forces during the Battle of Dignity.
Speaking at a mosque in Al-Eilafoun, he said external parties were behind the war and commended residents for facilitating military supplies and supporting the Engineers Corps base until the liberation of Khartoum.
He also praised Sufi orders for promoting tolerance and social cohesion, and urged unity, patience, and steadfastness, saying Sudan is capable of overcoming its challenges and defeating hostile plots.
Al-Burhan later performed Friday prayer, offered condolences on the passing of Al-Sheikh Al-Khalifa Ali Barakat, and was accompanied by the Chief of Military Intelligence, Lieutenant General Mohamed Ali Sabir.
