Minister of Culture, Information, Tourism and Antiquities Khalid Al-Eisir said that manipulation of currency stability and petroleum product prices is not merely an act of economic greed, but also constitutes a direct threat to national security and a key driver of rising prices.

He added that the Cabinet’s decision on Friday to directly import petroleum products represents a bold and decisive step that will help ensure the availability of petroleum products, curb monopolistic practices, and contribute to containing inflation and the rising cost of living.
