US journalist and media professional Louis Hopkins praised the performance of President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, during the war in Sudan, noting that he has remained in the country alongside the Army and the Sudanese people since the war broke out in April 2023.

Hopkins said Al-Burhan had succeeded in ending the presence of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Khartoum and surrounding areas and restoring the government to the capital.

He stressed that Al-Burhan did not retreat even during the darkest days of the war, when the Army General Command was under siege, and that he prevented the complete collapse of the state.

According to the video, Al-Burhan’s supporters view his battle as not merely a military conflict, but also a struggle to defend Sudan’s sovereignty, institutions, and territorial integrity.
