Federal Minister of Health Professor Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim and World Health Organization (WHO) Representative in Sudan Dr. Abdel-Nasser Mahmoud Abu Bakr attended the launch of a Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop on Ebola virus disease, with the participation of 85 health workers from Khartoum State.

The seven-day workshop focuses on case management, infection prevention and control, the use of personal protective equipment, and preparedness to operate Ebola treatment centers, with support from Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

The Minister of Health stressed the importance of training and building the capacity of health workers to strengthen preparedness for and response to epidemics and emergencies, commending the support provided by WHO, MSF, and other partners.
