Hungary Provides $500,000 to Support Sudan’s Health Sector

As part of follow-up to the outcomes of the meeting between the foreign ministers of Sudan and Hungary, Sudan’s Ambassador to Hungary, Sadiq Mohamed Abdullah, met yesterday with Hungary’s State Secretary for Humanitarian and Development Affairs, Arish Tristan.

The Hungarian side confirmed that arrangements have been completed to deliver $500,000 as a first tranche to support Sudan’s health sector. The two sides also discussed the dispatch of emergency medical teams and the provision of additional humanitarian assistance for displaced persons.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed its deep appreciation for the Hungarian government’s support for the Sudanese people, affirming the continuation of joint coordination to strengthen bilateral relations and to provide the necessary support to Sudan during this critical period.
