The World Bank and the Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA) are advancing efforts to strengthen health infrastructure in Red Sea State through the implementation of the SHARE Project, following a field visit by a World Bank mission to Port Sudan.
The visit brought together representatives from the UNICEF, the World Health Organization, and the Red Sea State Ministry of Health, who joined SAPA officials in reviewing the progress of project activities aimed at strengthening primary healthcare services across the state.
The delegation toured several health facilities, notably Dar Al-Salam Health Center and Prince Osman Digna Referral Hospital, where they assessed progress in supporting 25 health centers and improving access to essential medical services for local communities.
Participants in the visit underscored the importance of sustained cooperation between SAPA and international and national partners to ensure the continued delivery and expansion of healthcare services across Red Sea State, commending the progress achieved under the project to date.
