At least 13 members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, including a major general and several officers, were killed and 23 others injured after an army drone targeted a military convoy near Forbranga.
Military sources told Sudan Tribune that the strike hit a unit consisting of nine combat vehicles carrying ammunition and supplies, destroying them completely.
The sources added that the force was en route to the Kulbus and Jebel Mun areas to join other units, part of military arrangements believed to be preparing an attack on the border town of Al-Tina.
