Borri, (Nabaa Sudan) – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, renewed the Armed Forces’ commitment to continuing military operations until the rebellion is completely defeated, affirming that the War of Dignity will not end until this objective is achieved.

In remarks delivered after performing Friday prayers at the Saraya of Al-Sharif Yousuf Al-Hindi in the Borri district, Al-Burhan stressed that the blood of the martyrs and the aspirations of the Sudanese people leave no room for criminals and killers in the country’s future. The Commander-in-Chief reiterated his welcome to those willing to respond to the call of the nation and turn themselves in, while stressing that there would be no leniency toward anyone who insists on taking up arms, and renewing his total rejection of any external dictates or agendas.

The TSC President explained that the only way out of the current crisis lies in Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue conducted inside the country to reach national consensus and pave the way for state-building. He also addressed the current economic challenges, affirming that the cost-of-living crisis, rising prices, and scarcity of resources constitute another front in the battle, expressing confidence that Sudan would overcome and prevail in this battle just as the rebellion was driven out of the capital, Khartoum, and other cities.

Al-Burhan concluded his remarks by saluting the martyrs of the War of Dignity who sacrificed their lives for Sudan’s sovereignty and unity, and expressed his appreciation for the positions of Al-Sharif Yousuf Al-Hindi family and the historic role of the late Al-Sharif Zain Al-Abideen in supporting the Sudanese Armed Forces and national initiatives.
