President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, paid tribute to the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity, reaffirming that the Sudanese Armed Forces and allied forces will continue their campaign until the country is cleared of the rebellion.
Al-Burhan said that the leadership would neither pursue nor accept any course of action that fails to satisfy the Sudanese people or guarantee their security and stability. He reiterated the commitment of the Armed Forces and supporting forces to continue the Battle of Dignity until the country is, in his words, “cleansed of every aggressor and criminal.”
Speaking to worshippers at Sheikh Al-Tayeb Mosque and Maseed in the Om Marrihi area of Omdurman, Al-Burhan praised the role of Sudan's Sufi orders in promoting the tolerant values of Islam and strengthening social cohesion. He also commended the support provided by residents of Northern Rural Omdurman to the Armed Forces.
