Former Chadian Defense Minister Accuses “Kaka Deby” of Recruiting Tama Youth for RSF

Former Chadian General and Defense Minister, Mohamed Noor Abdel Karim, dropped a political bombshell by directly accusing President Mohamed Idriss Deby of orchestrating large-scale forced recruitment operations targeting young people from the Tama ethnic group and sending them to fight as mercenaries within the ranks of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
He accused security agencies and joint forces of abducting youth from villages in the Wadi Fira region and assembling them “like livestock” to be deployed to combat fronts.
Abdel Karim revealed that 1,137 youths were recruited to fight with the RSF militia, with 57 killed in the Jergira battle in Darfur alone. He also confirmed the existence of videos documenting Chadian soldiers in official military uniforms operating in Sudanese cities such as Nyala, Babanusa, and areas in Kordofan.
The former general described these operations as human trafficking, exploiting the dignity of the Chadian people for the benefit of foreign powers in exchange for money.
