Minni Arko Minnawi, Governor of the Darfur Region, met with Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Salah Rassas to discuss a range of national issues, foremost among them the security and humanitarian situations in Darfur and Kordofan, as well as developments in border areas.

Minnawi stressed that restoring security and stability in Darfur and Kordofan constitutes a top national priority. He underscored the importance of protecting civilians, facilitating the return of displaced persons (IDPs), and creating conducive conditions for reconstruction through coordinated efforts between state institutions and national forces.

He also reaffirmed that safeguarding Sudan’s unity and sovereignty is a shared responsibility, calling for collective national action to overcome the current challenges and achieve peace and development.
