The newly appointed Secretary-General of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lieutenant General Ahmed Saleh Abboud, officially assumed office on Monday, succeeding Lieutenant General Dr. Mohamed Al-Ghali Ali Yousuf as Secretary-General of the Council.
The outgoing Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the cooperation and support extended by the Secretariat's staff throughout his tenure, noting that their dedication had been instrumental in enabling the General Secretariat to achieve its objectives and implement its projects. He wished his successor every success in leading the Secretariat and advancing its institutional mission.
Lieutenant General Dr. Al-Ghali also reviewed the major challenges faced by the General Secretariat in recent years, particularly during the war, and urged employees to maintain the same spirit of commitment, perseverance, and patience in carrying out their responsibilities to strengthen national resilience, unity, and stability.
For his part, Lieutenant General Ahmed Saleh Abboud commended the significant accomplishments achieved under his predecessor's leadership and pledged to build on those achievements by completing ongoing projects and addressing the remaining challenges. He also expressed full confidence in the General Secretariat's personnel and their ability to continue fulfilling their responsibilities with professionalism and dedication.
