Wali of the Red Sea State Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Noor met on Sunday in his office with Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Transformation Engineer Ahmed Dirdiri Ghandour.
The meeting reviewed the executive steps to launch the Alternative National Data Center Project, a key pillar in the government’s plans to strengthen digital infrastructure supporting the country’s comprehensive digital transformation.
Engineer Dirdiri Ghandour stated that the project represents one of the largest investments in technological infrastructure during the current phase, underscoring its strategic importance in restoring sovereign national infrastructure and securing government data.
The minister described the initiative as a qualitative leap that will ensure the continuity and protection of digital services amid current challenges.
For his part, the Red Sea Wali welcomed the project, affirming the state’s readiness to mobilize all available capabilities to support the ministry’s digital transformation initiatives, in a manner that serves citizens and enhances government performance.
