Wali of White Nile State, Lt. Gen. Qamar Al-Din Mohamed Fadl Al-Mawla told a delegation from The Economist during a meeting in Rabak that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) are capable of winning the Battle of Dignity, defeating the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, and restoring security and stability across the country.
He said the military's recent battlefield gains demonstrate the readiness and effectiveness of the armed forces in defending the country.
The Wali added that White Nile State remains secure thanks to the vigilance of the security services and cooperation from local communities. Despite the war, he said, the state government has continued implementing development projects using its own resources and plans to establish major factories and companies in the coming period.
He also called on the international community to stop supporting the RSF militia, stressing that Sudan's stability is essential to regional stability.
The delegation also visited Goz Al-Salam camp in Kosti and Al-Jabalain Hospital to assess the conditions of displaced people and the humanitarian impact of the war.
