The 4th Infantry Division in Al-Damazin announced that the 13th Infantry Brigade in Kouri, Eastern Sector, repelled an attack in the Amori area by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and forces loyal to Joseph Tuka.

In a statement, the division said its forces thwarted the assault and forced the attackers to retreat following intense clashes that resulted in casualties among the attacking forces, the destruction of several combat vehicles, and the loss of military equipment.

It added that troops seized military vehicles, weapons, and ammunition abandoned by the attackers during their withdrawal from the battlefield.

The command said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to secure the Eastern Sector and repel hostile armed groups.
