Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Limaa Abdul-Ghaffar, met on Wednesday with a delegation from the Euro-Arab Union for Geomatics in the Middle East, led by Professor Haider Al-Sanousi, Deputy Director of the Union’s Middle East Office.
During the meeting, Professor Al-Sanousi presented a report on the upcoming Academic, Cultural, and Investment Forum, scheduled for early May 2026 in Paris, France. The forum will bring together representatives from 46 countries and over 1,000 experts to discuss critical issues, including water, energy, and food security. An official invitation was extended for Sudan to participate.
Dr. AbdulGhaffar emphasized that Sudan’s participation would offer an opportunity to reclaim its pioneering role in vital sectors. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing scientific and academic research, particularly in energy and water, and highlighted the importance of international cooperation in strengthening Sudan’s capacities in these areas.
