Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has approved the results of the 2026 Sudanese Secondary School Certificate examinations, paving the way for their official announcement.

Minister of National Education Dr. Al-Tohami Al-Zain Hajar said following his meeting with the Prime Minister in Khartoum that 559,000 male and female students sat for the examinations at 3,333 centers inside and outside Sudan. He noted that the results were better than those of last year and the years preceding the war, when around 510,000 students sat for the examinations.

The minister said the increase in the number of students sitting for the examinations reflected positive indicators of stability in the education process and recovery. He expressed his thanks to teachers, security agencies and government institutions that contributed to the successful administration and securing of the examinations.
