The Sudan Meteorological Authority has issued a high-risk orange weather alert, warning of heavy to moderate rainfall on Wednesday across the states of Al-Gadarif, Sennar, Blue Nile, South Darfur, and Central Darfur, with the warning remaining in effect until early Thursday morning.
The authority urged residents to avoid low-lying areas, valleys, and roads prone to flooding, and to exercise caution in areas expected to experience heavy rainfall.
