EgyptAir has announced the resumption of its direct flights between Cairo and Port Sudan, effective Wednesday, 5 August 2026, with five weekly flights.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the airline said the move reflects its commitment to expanding its route network and meeting the travel needs of its customers.
The resumption of the Cairo–Port Sudan route forms part of EgyptAir's strategy to expand its regional destination network and strengthen air connectivity between Egypt and Sudan, helping to facilitate travel, deepen economic ties between the two neighboring countries, and provide passengers with greater travel flexibility.
According to the statement, the restoration of the Cairo–Port Sudan service underscores EgyptAir's continued commitment to strengthening its presence in regional and international markets.
