Khartoum, (Nabaa Sudan) – Legal expert Dr. Nabil Adib, a member of the Political Track Committee of the Sudanese-Sudanese Dialogue Preparatory Committee, affirmed that the upcoming dialogue will be conducted on a fully civilian basis, stressing that the military component will be excluded from participation in accordance with the governing legal provisions.
Speaking at a consultative meeting with media professionals at the Cultural Center in Omdurman on Thursday, Adib explained that the Armed Forces Act expressly prohibits military personnel from engaging in any political activity, making the upcoming dialogue exclusively open to civilian forces.
He added that the dialogue will include all civilian political organizations and forces, regardless of their different orientations and views, with arrangements underway to engage with them and invite them to participate in the political process.
