The Ministry of Digital Transformation and Communications announced that it is working with the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS) and the banking sector to link the national digital identity, “SudaPass,” to banking systems.
In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry said the integration will enable banks to digitally verify customers’ identities and update their information without requiring them to visit bank branches.
The move aims to facilitate compliance with customer data-update requirements for Sudanese citizens both inside and outside the country, while making access to banking services easier and more flexible.
The ministry said the integration will be rolled out gradually, based on each bank’s technical readiness.
