Sudan’s Chief of Staff, General Yasser Al-Atta, said the United Arab Emirates (UAE) had made several attempts to target the late Omar Al-Numair, the former president of Al-Merrikh Club, and undermine him as a businessman who supported the Sudanese army in the “Battle of Dignity.”

Al-Atta praised Al-Numair’s significant social role, particularly his support for takayas—community kitchens and charitable centers that provide food and assistance to those in need—as well as his efforts to supply and support the Sudanese army.
