Othman Mirghani, spokesperson for the Preparatory Committee for the “Sudanese Dialogue,” said the five-member mechanism comprising the United Nations, African Union, Arab League, European Union, and IGAD is likely to turn its focus to Sudan’s internal dialogue following the “deadlock” in Addis Ababa.

Mirghani told Al Arabiya that the quintet had arrived in Khartoum to hold meetings with political and social groups, listen to their views, and gain a closer understanding of the Sudanese crisis.
