Prime Minister: Government to Directly Import Fuel Products to Combat Monopoly Practices and Ease Living Costs

Prime Minister Kamil Idris said the government's decision to directly import petroleum products reflects its commitment to combating monopolistic practices and reducing living costs for citizens.

In a post on X, Idris said he had directed the relevant authorities at the Ministries of Finance and Energy, the Central Bank of Sudan, and Economic Security to immediately begin implementing the decision and take the necessary measures to protect the economy and regulate the market.

He added that the move forms part of the government's efforts to strengthen economic stability and improve the availability of strategic commodities for citizens.
