Khartoum, (Nabaa Sudan) – Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris has received the final statement and recommendations of the Strategic Hope Forum, which was held in Khartoum from 9 to 11 October under the theme, “A Clear Vision, a Unified Strategy, Disciplined Implementation.” The forum brought together government officials, State Walis, heads of institutions, private-sector representatives, experts and specialists.
At the conclusion of the forum, Idris affirmed that Sudan would not be broken and its people would not be defeated. He pledged to translate the recommendations into action programmes through coordination and continuous follow-up, stressing the importance of the role of women and young people in the reconstruction and rebuilding phase.
For his part, the Prime Minister’s Special Representative, Dr. Al-Hussein Al-Khalifa Al-Siddig Al-Hafian, affirmed the government’s determination to proceed with implementing the forum’s recommendations, commending the participants’ contributions to efforts to rebuild the country.
The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Ali Mohamed Ali, said the forum builds on efforts to prepare the five-year plan, with the aim of setting priorities, supporting recovery and reconstruction, and preparing for the post-war phase. He noted that Sudan possesses natural resources and human capabilities that qualify it to achieve development.
Furthermore, the Secretary-General of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Ahmed Saleh Abboud, affirmed the Council’s readiness to provide support to ensure the forum’s success and achieve its objectives. The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers also stressed the importance of building partnerships with brotherly and friendly countries based on cooperation, investment and mutual interests.
