Sudan Briefs German and Polish Foreign Ministries on Developments ‎in the Country and Its Complaint Against Ethiopia

Berlin (Nabaa Sudan) – Sudan’s Acting Ambassador to Berlin, ‎Ambassador Idris Mohamed Ali, briefed the German and Polish foreign ‎ministries and the diplomatic community in both countries on ‎developments in Sudan in the wake of drone attacks launched from ‎Ethiopian territory, which targeted vital infrastructure, particularly ‎electricity stations, and struck several cities.‎

During a meeting of the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Berlin on ‎Tuesday, Ambassador Idris Mohamed Ali provided an update on ‎developments in Sudan, explaining that the country was facing a ‎comprehensive external aggression carried out by the state sponsoring ‎the terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia through full-scale ‎financing of the war, the transfer of military equipment and weapons, ‎the recruitment and deployment of mercenaries and foreign fighters, ‎and the provision of political cover and support.‎

He added that the militia was merely a hired gun carrying out plans ‎for external aggression aimed at undermining the country’s ‎sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, security, stability, its great ‎people and its resources.‎

Ambassador Idris affirmed that this external aggression plot had failed, ‎thwarted by the courage, heroism and steadfastness of the Armed ‎Forces and their allied units, as well as the support of the great ‎Sudanese people.‎

He noted that national determination and resolve remained firm in ‎pursuing the objective of liberating Sudanese territory from the militia ‎and mercenaries, continuing the reconstruction and rehabilitation of ‎what had been destroyed by the external aggression, and ensuring the ‎return of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their cities ‎and villages.‎

The Sudanese diplomat explained that Sudan had recently lodged a ‎complaint with the United Nations Security Council and the African ‎Union Peace and Security Council (AUPSC) over Ethiopia’s latest act of ‎aggression, which constitutes a dangerous military escalation. He ‎affirmed Sudan’s ability to protect and secure its territory and ‎confront all desperate acts of aggression.‎

He also highlighted the supportive role of sisterly Arab countries and ‎the League of Arab States in upholding Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, ‎territorial integrity, security and stability.‎
