The Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA) announced that approximately 90% of the renovation work on the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Section at Ibrahim Malik Teaching Hospital has been completed as part of a project supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
SAPA said the project includes the rehabilitation of the obstetric and gynaecological emergency unit and the operating theater complex, with the aim of restoring emergency obstetric care services and surgical interventions at the hospital.
SAPA affirmed its continued work with international partners to rehabilitate damaged health facilities and expand medical services for the communities most severely affected.
