Khartoum (Nabaa Sudan) – The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) Chief of Staff, General Yasser Al-Atta, has placed the issue of foreign mercenaries at the forefront of the military scene, revealing that thousands of fighters of various nationalities are participating in the ranks of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. They include combatants from Niger, South Sudan, Ethiopia, northern Somalia, and Colombia, as he reaffirmed the continuation of military operations.
In remarks carried by the official Sudanese Armed Forces page while addressing groups of troops stationed at their positions, General Al-Atta was keen to distinguish between the military confrontation and the social communities in the Darfur and Kordofan regions. He described the two regions as cherished parts of the country, saying that all their tribes were valued, and denied any intention to seek revenge against their populations over the violations committed by the RSF militia.
The SAF Chief of Staff accused the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel of being behind what he described as conspiracies targeting Sudan, pointing to the roles of Abu Dhabi and Israel's Mossad in the plot facing the country.
