Khartoum (Nabaa Sudan) – The Government of Sudan has filed complaints against the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia with both the United Nations (UN) Security Council and the African Union Peace and Security Council (AUPSC), following the blatant attack launched from Ethiopian territory against civilian sites and property, as well as power stations in several Sudanese states. The attacks resulted in civilian casualties and disrupted essential services for citizens.
The Sudanese government attached all documents and evidence confirming the use of Ethiopian territory by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia to launch suicide drones equipped with missiles, targeting civilian property and vital facilities.
The Government of Sudan stressed that the terrorist militia's use of Ethiopian territory to target Sudanese territory constitutes a hostile act that places Ethiopia under international law and holds it accountable for violating Article 2(4) of the United Nations Charter.
Accordingly, the Sudanese government called on Ethiopia to cease these hostile acts and urged the international community to fulfil its role in holding the terrorist militia accountable and ensuring that international law is applied to the Ethiopian government.
